Adrian Pintea was born on October 9th 1954 in Beius, Bihor county.

In 1979 he graduated from the Theatrical and Cinematographical Arts Institute, Acting class.

In 1990 he begins teaching acting at the same institute, now the Bucharest "I.L. Caragiale "Theatrical and Cinematographical Arts National University.

In 2002 he gets the Doctor title in Theatre, with the essay Hamlet or the lucid actor, which was also published.

In 2004 he graduates again from the Bucharest "I.L. Caragiale "Theatrical and Cinematographical Arts National University, now the Film Directing class, coordinated by Elisaveta Bostan.
